Ted Berrigan

His first book was easily his best: The Sonnets. No meter, no iambics, just
(usually )14 lines of found text arranged by procedural methods and adjusted through intuition. Rimbaud, Pound, Elliot, Carlos Williams, Pollock, Monroe, Ashbery , O’Hara, philosophy, movies , friends, lovers, drugs, Pepsi, boxers, gun-slingers, dreams, it’s all there somewhere, continually rearranged, added to, refreshed. Everything is happening simultaneously.
